Candy Cane Martini

A sweet, minty vodka martini, perfect for the holidays!

Supplies:

Cocktail Shaker
Hawthorne strainer (if strainer not built into shaker)

Glassware:

Martini Glass

Ingredients:

Ice
1/4 oz. Peppermint Schnapps
1/2 oz. simple syrup
2 oz. vodka
Small candy cane (garnish)

Directions:

Combine Peppermint Schnapps, simple syrup and vodka in shaker, then top with ice. Shake contents for 15-20 seconds.

Presentation:

Hook small candy cane on the edge of the martini glass, with the stem of the candy cane laying inside the glass. Strain cocktail into glass.

Another garnish option is to crush the candy canes into tiny pieces. Coat the outside rim of the martini glass with simple syrup and then roll the martini glass through the crushed candy cane, coating the entire rim with small candy cane pieces.
